Georgia Carys Williams’ debut novel Unspeakable Beauty is serialised in the Western Mail from today, pick up a copy. Here's her interview about the book from yesterday's paper...

Parthian Showcase: Mumbles

Another great Parthian showcase event tonight, this time in Mumbles with the sun streaming through the stained glass… From a tale of two sisters, two nuclear power stations and one child caught in the middle to a coming-of-age horror fantasy set admist a backdrop of political turmoil in 2000s Zimbabwe. A state-of-the-nation novel exploring hope and relationships as the clouds gathered around the EU referendum in Brighton. Violet Hart learns to find her voice against a whirlwind affair with an older lover. And the town of Llanelli is explored through a sardonic, melancholic and joyful collection of short stories.

Aberystwyth Poetry Festival

I am looking forward to Aberystwyth Poetry Festival at The Bookshop by the Sea next weekend, with events with Rae Howells and Mari Ellis Dunning on Saturday afternoon, a publishing panel that I am part of on Sunday afternoon and lots of other wonderful poets and talks. Do join us!

Parthian Showcase: Cardiff

A wonderful Parthian showcase at Cardiff Waterstones tonight and my first sightings of these two novels in the flesh! They look good! I’m looking forward to hosting the showcase in Mumbles tomorrow. Do come along.

Hello Strangers!

I've been meaning to update this blog and then I was in Goa with Ben for a month, which WAS wonderful thanks, and it's about to get busy with book launches... So, soon, dears! Here's a photo I took on my travels. It was a slightly early celebration of our five year wedding anniversary – where does the time go? – and a more-than-slightly-late celebration of Ben's big birthday, so pretty rotten luck that he broke his ribs while we were there, he's been x-rayed and is healing well now though. We did get to go on this boat at sunrise and see all sorts of wonderful things before he injured himself though...  and we saw lots of magical things...  I hope you are well, sending sparkle, Susie x [Update: I have now filled in some gaps!]
