BUZZ REVIEW: Little Universe by Natalie Ann Hoborow

Diolch to Mab Jones and Buzz Magazine Wales for this gorgeous review of Little Universe by Natalie Ann Holborow! 'Vivid, sometimes lurid; taut, at times with a tightness that speaks of intense situations, mindstates, emotions; and, very often, visual, these are poems which manage a balance between being scalpel-sharp yet rich in description... I know of very few young writers who are quite so fantastic... It’s a book that will mesmerise from beginning to end, and holds great power.' Read the review in full

Susmita Bhattacharya: " The next story on BBC Sounds is Letters Home. I used to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages in Cardiff. A really lovely school, but sometimes, the experiences of the refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants who were students there were hard to digest. They'd gone through so much to be here, and yet ... This story is inspired by my time working in that school, no actual experiences of the students are included. Maybe some of my experiences are included - maybe!" On Being a Poet in Wales: Natalie Ann Holborow in Nation.Cymru

'The tides of Wales are inescapable in my poetry, and in many ways, they represent the emotional ebb and flow of life here. Writing about Wales is a return to home, both physically and emotionally. It’s an act of honouring where I come from, the land that has shaped me and continues to influence the way I view the world.'  Read the article in full on Nation.Cymru
