After last month's success with the Woodland Tea Party Sessions, The Folk Collective is back for the month of May presenting the 'Tea Party Poets'

An evening of acoustic music and poetry with the relaxed atmosphere of the beautiful Kama Lounge in Newport. There'll be cakes and cocktails, candles and incense and generally ace vibes for all who attend :D (and for any that don't too, you just may miss out on the cake! And who wants to miss out on cake?)

Joining us for the evening we have:

Kai Lena - Pixie hosting and giving some tunage. www.myspace.com/kailenamusic

Susie Wild -Susie is a multi talented individual, from journalist to film maker, to festival organiser to spoken work artist. She joins us with some poetry to entertain all you wonderful people www.myspace.com/soozerama

Rhian Edwards - local to south Wales, Rhian's poetry reflects her entanglement with musical rhythm. Her poems explore her sensual wit and chronicle relationships young and old and personal portraits. She will also have her good old ukelele at hand to give a musical element to her performance. Not to be missed!http://www.myspace.com/rhianedwards

Molly Zacharias - Molly is an expressive singer and guitar player with a voice that twists around her words in a beautiful fashion. She is busy recording in the mountains at the moment but will be with us on 8th to give us some songs and adapted poetry. http://www.myspace.com/mollydoesfolly

Mab Jones- Mab Jones is a Cardiff-born poet, comic, writer, and performer, under the umbrella title of "spoken word artist" Funny and touching by turns, Mab’s performance work veers from the delightfully playful to the outrageously naughty; meanders cleverly through subjects social, amorous, irreverent, and relevant; is witty, satirical, dark at times, but always lively and infused with a sparkly sense of fun. .www.mabjones.com
